Think of this as the crème de la crème of translation. If you want the most accurate and highest-quality result, pure human translation is the way to go. As a translator, I read the source material and then transpose its meaning into natural-sounding English. The ultimate goal is creating a piece of writing that feels like it was written from scratch by a native speaker and doesn't sound like a translation.
Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE)
Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE)
Machine translation post-editing is a good way to keep translation costs low while avoiding the pitfalls of only using machine translation. In MTPE, I take your source text and run it through a machine translation engine (think Google Translate, but better), then I read through the resulting text and weed out any errors.

Translation is the process of converting a text from one language (the source language) to another (the target language) to make it accessible and understandable to a new audience.
Why hire a translator if I can just use Google Translate?
Why hire a translator if I can just use Google Translate?
Machine translation is a great tool for personal use but will never be able to provide the same standard of translation as a language professional. This is because machine translation will never be able to understand 100% of the nuances included in a given source text. Many factors can result in errors and mistranslations in your text.
Machines tend to struggle especially with poetry, humour and culturally specific references, so in these cases, it's best to go with a human. Since the machine translates exactly what it is given, you also have to be sure that your source text is essentially perfect for good results, on the other hand, a human translator will be able to spot mistakes and make corrections as needed.
